Chinese citizens who wish to apply for a Thailand tourist visa can currently apply for a 15-day visa on arrival. The visa on arrival has been made available online, through a simple application, to speed up border control upon arrival. To promote the new online system, the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand has decided to waive the 2,000 Baht fee until January 13, 2019.
Starting, February 15, 2019, all Chinese travelers will be able to request the new Thai eVisa, for stays up to 60 days, which will grant them access to a fast lane instead of waiting in long lines at the border upon arrival.

Chinese citizens will be able to apply online for a Thai Tourist visa (Thai eVisa) from February 15. The eVisa, once available, will save visitors time both during the application process and at the border.
At the moment they can apply for a Thai eVisa on arrival through the online application. Those who apply for the eVisa on arrival will save time at the border with a dedicated fast lane, and money, as the 2,000 Baht fee does not need to be paid for applications submitted before January 13th, 2019.
